My name is Jacquelyn, I am the Senior Supervisor at the Cottage. I first started working at the YMCA Valleyview Childcare Centre in 1988. In 1993 I was part of the changeover to Kid’s Cottage Daycare, non Profit Society. During the last 22 years I have been a member of the team to expand the center from a solely 3-5 program to a thriving Out of School Care and Infant Toddler Program. I have completed my ECE training while working at the Cottage and recently went back to school to complete my Infant/Toddler and Special Needs Certification. I have one son with whom I love to travel and visit new and interesting places.
I am Kathy, the Assistant Supervisor, and I have been part of the Kid’s Cottage team since 1997. I have my ECE certification along with a diploma in Special Needs and Infant Toddler Development. I work in the Infant Toddler Program, and assume Supervisor duties in the afternoons. Like Jacquelyn, I had the benefit of growing with the center from a 3-5 aged program to a center that caters to Infants, Toddlers, and Out of School Care aged children.
I really enjoy being outdoors with family and friends, hiking, biking. In the winter season you can find me in the Yoga studio or at the rink playing recreational hockey. My long term goals are to take some classes in business and do a little more traveling.
